I can relate because my brother is in the Army as well. I can hear how much you love your dad by the way you speak of him. Bless you and your family. Sandy

I am in a similar situation. Well kind of. My father wasnt present for my graduation nor was he able to see his first grandchild born but not because hes in the war but I have never really had any contact with him. Were both in the same situation but God Bless You and your family and I hope that your father will come back home to you and your family soon.

I know this has to be hard for you and your family. I hope he comes home soon. My husband also has family in Iraq and we pray for the safe return of all our troops.

My brother in law just got sent over there, and is missing the first year of his daughter's life. I know what its like, so I'm very sorry to hear your pain.

My husband has been deployed 4 times already, 2 of those times I was pregnant. I understand the feelings you have for your fathers absence during important times in your life. Just imagine how he feels.
